Trudi joined The Royal Household at Buckingham Palace in 2018, after over 20 years in the private sector. She has three children, one of whom is still at Danes Hill.
Originally from north Wales, she has a degree in International Business and Languages from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
Trudi qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997, before moving to Switzerland to work for a large multinational. Over the next ten years, she focused predominantly on reviewing financial and operational risks at the group’s global subsidiaries, stretching from Sao Paulo to Tokyo.
Trudi took a short career break to focus on her young children and in 2012 she joined Sony Interactive Entertainment as Head of Risk Management, Information Security, Compliance and Internal Audit for Europe, the Middle East & Africa and Oceania. She became a CISSP-qualified member of the cyber security professional organization (ISC)2 in 2018.
Trudi is a fervent advocate of promoting cyber security as a rewarding career; she coaches teams for the National Cyber Security Centre’s annual CyberFirst competition and accompanied last year’s team to the semi-finals.
