On Thursday 29 of November, the 1st Senior Football team travelled to Feltonfleet to play in their first 11-a-side match. It was a grim and wet afternoon, but that did not dampen the spirits of the girls.
It was a rocky start with Feltonfleet scoring two goals within the first 10 minutes. Danes Hill came fighting back, levelling the score to 2-2 at half time. A motivational half time team talk, allowed the girls to go into the second half determined to take the win.
It was evident, the girls took on the advice given at half time, playing outstandingly and really coming together as a team. They scored a further 2 goals, taking the win convincingly.
The final score was 4-2 to Danes Hill.
A huge congratulations to all the girls who played. The skill level was extremely high and the sportsmanship the girls displayed was something they should be very proud of.
