Cranleigh Hockey Tournament

7th October 2018

On Wednesday 19 September, The U12 A and B hockey teams played in the Cranleigh hockey tournaments.

The A team had a fantastic start and came first place in the pool stage.
The results were as follows:

Westbourne House- 7-0 win.
St John’s- 1-0 win
Seaford 4-0 win

This meant they went through to the semi finals and played Epsom College. Despite having all of the possession and many goal opportunities they finished with a 0-0 draw after 10 minutes full time. The girls then went to penalty shuffles to see who would get into the final. Unfortunately, the girls lost 2-1.

The final match was for 3rd or 4th position. They played St John’s beating them 1-0 to and finished a superb 3rd place! Another great tournament for the U12 A team. Well done girls.

The U12 B team also had an exciting tournament. They came top of their pool against Westbourne House, Cranleigh and Highfield. This put them up against St John’s in the semi-finals. This resulted in penalty shuffles as the score was 0-0 at the end of full time. The penalty shuffles were fantastic, Alysia Coutts scored the final goal putting us into the final against Epsom College. The girls played extremely well but unfortunately Epsom College managed to score a goal in the last 10 seconds of the match. Well done to all the girls involved!
