On Wednesday the U11 tennis team travelled to St George’s College for the Surrey Tennis Finals. The final was against Wimbledon High. C Moore and J Thompson had a very exciting start, scoring 6-6 in games lead them into a tie break. The pair played exceptionally well and won the tie break resulting in winning the match. A McGrath and L Rexstrew also had a great start in a close game, just losing 4-6.
The final score resulted in drawing 2 sets all which meant it went down to games. Danes Hill lost to Wimbledon High by one game 16-17 resulting in Danes Hill winning the silver medals. This is a outstanding achievement and the girls should be extremely proud of their tennis skills throughout the term and during the finals day.
