Sandown Dual Slalom Championships

21st May 2019

On Sunday 19 May, Danes Hill sent five teams to race in Sandown’s Dual Slalom Championship. The event had a fun festival feel, was faced pace and all our pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Each team of four raced against four different schools in a dual slalom fashion, progressing to a semi-final and final if they topped their group. Our 3 ten and under teams only narrowly missed out on group progression and the margin between teams was minuscule. However, one of our twelve and under teams progressed to the semi stages. They too were unfortunate not to win, losing instead to Cranmore, the eventual winners,  Danes Hill re-grouped and raced for third place coming away victorious, taking home a bronze medal for the superb efforts, Well done!

A huge congratulations to L Bailey-Bain, L Jovanovich, C Roger and M King.

This was Danes Hill’s final race of what has been a hugely successful 2018/19 ski season. We hope everyone continues to train hard and we look forward to another great season when September rolls around. We will still train at Sandown each Thursday once we return from the half term break.
