On Thursday 8 March the U11 A Hockey Team competed in the South Regional Hockey Championship.
The girls had 6 fantastic games in the pool stages winning 4-0 against Highgate, 2-1 against Walhampton, 3-0 against The Manor, 1-0 against St Andrews Sussex, 3-2 against St Andrews Pangbourne, and drew 1-1 in their last match against Christ Church.
Winning 5 out of 6 games and drawing the sixth put the girls through to the Semi Finals against St George’s. Danes Hill unfortunately lost this match which put us in the 3rd/4th play off against Holy Cross. The final score was 1-0 to Holy Cross which resulted in Danes Hill being awarded 4th place in South of England. This was the highest competition for their age group, a fantastic achievement!
Well done to all the girls, their skill level and determination were outstanding!
