The Royal Institution of Science Christmas Lectures

8th November 2019

There is nothing like a good explosion to begin the festive season and all the children in the Main School were able to experience the wonders of the Christmas Lectures given by the Royal Institution of Science on 7 November.

The Christmas Lectures are the UK’s flagship science series. They were started by Michael Faraday in 1825 and are now broadcast on National Television every year. The pupils explored the concept of energy in a new light.

William Faraday 2EEG is a direct descendant of Michael Faraday and one of the Highlights was watching him create an explosion using his relative’s electromagnetic science experiment.
