The Year 8 pupils were delighted to welcome performance poet Andy Craven-Griffiths in the library today.
Andy completed an interactive workshop for the Year 8 pupils. In groups they worked to construct their own poems using popular writing techniques such as metaphors and similes. Their hard work throughout the workshop culminated in a poetry slam! The Year 8 children had the opportunity to showcase their work and also listen to the other groups creations. Thank you to the Friends of Danes Hill (FODH) for funding this event and to Andy for an amazing day.
