This term in their DT lessons Year 3 will be focusing on Aztec design, in the classroom they are using the Aztec design theme along with simple hand tools and wood to create a maze game. Whilst in the textiles classroom, they will be using weaving to create Aztec themed artefacts.
This afternoon the Year 3 children were creating their very own wooden mazes. Creating a template on a thin piece of wood, the children were measuring out the lengths of wood they needed to construct their maze and sawing them to the correct length. The children are very eager to create their own woodwork structure form scratch and excited to put their mazes to the test!
