Friday 7 June saw Eco Day take place at Danes Hill. The focus of the day was to create a pledge tree with every single child (and teacher!) in the school making a pledge to the environment. Some examples are as follows:
“I pledge to reduce my use of plastic bags by asking my parents to take reusable bags to the supermarket”
“I pledge to use my reusable water bottle and say no to plastic bottles”
“I pledge to reuse delivery packaging”
“I pledge to eat more vegetarian meals”
“I pledge to see hand soap instead of soap in a plastic bottle”
Children also enjoyed a scavenger hunt and Eco themed lessons in the library, languages, art and science.
