Looking back over a busy year at Danes Hill School, I’m reminded of so many special moments—here are just a few that stood out:
-
Grandparents’ Day at Bevendean – a heartwarming celebration of family and connection across generations.
-
Role play fun with our Nursery children in their Theatre – a joyful glimpse into their imagination and creativity.
-
Visiting the classrooms with our prospective parents – a chance to witness the laughter, joy, and happiness shining on the children’s faces.
-
Sports Day – always a highlight filled with energy, teamwork, and school spirit. A standout moment from our Pre-Prep Sports Day was when the children spotted the teachers at the start line for the much-anticipated teachers’ race—dressed as inflatable dinosaurs, sharks, and teddy bears! The children could not believe their eyes, and the laughter that followed was unforgettable.
- A visit to our Gardening Club – Our dedicated Head Gardener, Sue, along with the enthusiastic Gardening Club team of teachers and pupils, have been working tirelessly throughout the term. Together, they have harvested fresh produce, planted a wonderful variety of flowers and vegetables, and kept the grounds looking beautiful by diligently weeding and maintaining the beds. Their hard work and teamwork have transformed the garden into a thriving, vibrant space that everyone can enjoy and be proud of.
- A Summer Term of unforgettable cricket – it has been an unforgettable term of cricket at Danes Hill, with everything from exciting matches to focused training sessions. The beautiful blue skies have provided a stunning backdrop to a season filled with teamwork, skill, and a shared love of the game.
