On Friday 18 January Epsom College hosted the inaugural Prep Schools General Knowledge Challenge, and after a close final against Downsend, the Danes Hill team emerged triumphant with the trophy. The quartet of DH Year 7s, messrs Benson, Drew-Honey, Lowcock and Tambini-Mcgee, thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the University Challenge style contest, and showed a lot of determination, having also come from behind to overcome Aberdour in the previous round. Accompanying staff member Bruce McCrea said: 'Aberdour was a good starter, to beat Downsend was a real bonus. Our team really rose to the Challenge!'
