Cranleigh musicians in town 27th April 2008

On Tuesday 22 April Years 5 and 6 were treated to some virtuoso musical performances in the Ark from pupils of Cranleigh School. Following fine pieces for string quartet and solo clarinet, a group of the Cranleigh Big Band musicians really brought the house down with a selection of their rockingest tunes, one of which involved a selection of our own musicians, alongside some enthusiastic volunteers in Mr May's scratch percussion section. Past Danes Hill pupil Tory Sawyer brought proceedings to a close with a stunning performance of the opening movement of Mendelssohn's first violin concerto. We look forward to more such visits!
