U10 Football Tournament 25th February 2008
On Saturday 23 February, sixteen boys from Year 5 participated in the first-ever Danes Hill under 10 football tournament, playing against teams from Aldro, Dragon, Downsend, Oratory and Surbiton Prep.
The Danes Hill A team finished fifth in their competition, winning one game and losing four. Despite their low position, the boys really gave it their all and were unlucky not to do better.
The B team managed to finish in a creditable third place in their competition, narrowly missing out on a place in the final due to goal difference. They played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, winning two, losing two and drawing one.
Aldro enjoyed most of the success on the day. They shared the 'A' competition with the Oratory after a goalless draw. They also claimed the 'B' title after a thrilling final. Everyone competed well and enjoyed the day. Well done to all those concerned!
