Chamber Choir Tour of Tuscany 22nd May 2008
Friday 23rd May
Hello parents! If you are reading this you must be following our daily posting of the Chamber Choir tour to sunny Tuscany. We all arrived safely, the hotel is super and as I write the children are tucked-up in bed asleep...allegedly! We had a great rehearsal this afternoon and we are all really looking forward to our first performance at San Gimignano tomorrow.
Saturday 24th May
Today we had a fabulous day! We spent the morning at Montecatini Alto, which we travelled to by funicular railway. In the afternoon we gave our first concert in San Gimignano to a "standing room only" audience! We were in excellent voice.
Sunday 25th May
Today we returned to San Gimignano for shopping and sight-seeing. The children had a wonderful time roaming the medieval streets, and devouring the local ice cream! We then travelled for an hour or so to Regello in the mountains, where we were given the honour of singing in an evening mass. This was followed by another “standing room only” concert, which was given to an appreciative local audience and also to our travelling parent fan-club. We received many lovely comments from all those attending.
