ENGLISH

  • Continued work on ‘practice’ papers
  • Revision of all work to date (for all sections of the paper) 

MATHEMATICS

  • This term is used for practicing CE Papers 1 and 3 and any topic revision need for individual sets
  • Higher tier pupils will continue to work on the skills needed for this tier, with appropriate practice papers

  • Series of games & exercises & activities related to the Year 8 Leavers’ production ‘Bugsy Malone'
  • Also an understanding of the history behind ‘Bugsy Malone’
 ARTSLD
  • Analysing the drawing, design layout, colour and pattern of Japanese prints
  • Experimentation with materials and techniques
  • Production of a four panel painting/screen in card, materials and paints
JRHImpressionism – Land, Sea and Air
  • Looking at Monet, Van Gogh and others
  • Expressive techniques in a variety of different medium including oil, pastels and acrylics
  • A piece to combine the studies of land, sea and air
NJE
  • Contemporary digital photomontage and looking at the fine art aspect of its application
  • Covering still life, lighting, portraiture and emotions and abstract images
  • Pupils will work toward finished article based on montage, collage or image manipulation
 DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
  • Design and make a contemporary clock based on the housing/body element of the clock mechanism
  • Looking at many different contemporary design shapes and forms in furniture, cars, planes etc. and also look at certain 20 Century artists
  • Challenging the making aspect of this period
