Year 5 Tudor House Day

The Tudor House activities came to school at the end of January.  Charlie, our host, showed us how to do the five activities.  They were bodging, thatching, roof tiling, making wattle and building a third scale peasant's house and a third scale merchant's house.  We enjoyed learning about all the different parts of a Tudor house like the windbrace which stops the house from falling down in strong winds.  There was also a dwarf wall under the house to prevent the oak wood from rotting!  We had so much fun during our Tudor House Day!  All of us had an excellent day.
