Last Friday saw the first opportunity for boys and girls in Year 2 to experience the fierce rivalry and competition that exists in the Danes Hill house matches.
This was just a warm-up for the main events later on in the term and gave the players time to hone their skills. Whilst the girls were developing their stick skills on the hockey astro, the boys were showing off some fine football talent on the pitches.
It was clear to see from the expressions on the faces of the many parents in attendance that this is going to be a year group to watch closely over the next few years. Given the standard on display at such an early stage, there are undoubtedly some thrilling house tournaments on the horizon.
Needless to say, the children, parents and indeed the staff cannot wait for this year group’s first competitive house matches later on this term.
