The Charities Committee
The Danes Hill Charities Committee was established in 2006. Its purpose is to co-ordinate and focus the fantastic fundraising efforts that go on in all parts of the school, and ensure that everyone in the Danes Hill community is kept informed of where the money raised is actually spent.
There are currently seven members of the committee, including several parents and members of staff, as well as the Year 8 Charities Coordinator.

Each autumn term the committee selects a small number of charities to be the major beneficiaries of moneys raised over the coming school year. Parents, pupils and staff members are very welcome to put forward the names of charities which they feel are deserving of support, and the committee is keen to help in any way it can with fundraising or other charitable ideas involving the school.
Anyone wishing to organise a charitable event or ask for donations for a particular charity should contact the committee via a request form available from the Cottage.
The committee publishes information concerning funds raised and distributed, as well as news and pictures of recent charity events, on the charity page of the termly ‘Danes Hill Round-Up’ newsletter.
